"My Mud House" is an evocative modular sculpture created from the mud of the Lamone River that overflowed during the Faenza flood on May 17, 2023. Each module, composed of flood mud and shaped on a lathe, encapsulates the memory of that trauma and the resilience of a community.

The sound accompanying the sculpture is a data sonification that represents in aural form the flood and overflow data of the Lamone River: four seconds correspond to one hour of information, and over the 34 minutes that make a complete cycle, the days from the first of May to the twenty-second of the same month are spanned. The hydrometric level, cumulative precipitation, and warning thresholds are processed and transformed into synthetic sounds that represent their progress over time and attempt to propose an aural, unmediated reinterpretation of the progress of hydrogeological events.
Finally, the work will be illuminated by ceramic spotlights made for the occasion by ceramicist Enrico Xue based on a design by architect Pietro Montani.
Light, sound, and matter come together in a work that celebrates the ability to transform pain into beauty and to find hope even in mud.
In display from April 8 to 12, during Fuorisalone 2025, at the TerraCò association headquarters at Via Brizi 3 in Milan (Porto di Mare stop, M3).
